RGB designed numerous Shaw's supermarkets. The Worcestor Superstorebecame the first LEED certified supermarket in New England in 2005. Sustainable design features included:
- Waterless urinals and low flow toilets have a projected water savings of 112,000 gallons per year
- Total projected energy savings of $41,500 per year
- 4,730 tons of construction debris was diverted from landfills
- Over 80% of materials were of high recycled content
- Over 80% of the materials were manufactured within 500 miles of the project, saving on trucking and associated fuel costs
- A carbon dioxide monitoring system tied into the sales floor HVAC units helps operate the equipment more efficiently and ensures healthy indoor air quality
