Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

RGB was commissioned to provide construction documents for the interior design and renovations to the Scallop Shell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The scope of work on this 30,000 square foot project included renovations and alterations to resident rooms, corridors, and common area spaces. Renovation of resident rooms and corridors consisted of replacement of exterior windows, floor and wall finishes, wardrobe casework/furniture, plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, and lighting. Alterations to resident common areas consisted of minor wall demolition and construction, new casework, finishes and new lighting. The scope of these renovations and alterations allowed the facility to continue to provide services with contemporary environments. In particular, the project features an addition consisting of a rehabilitation center. The structured environment provides patients with tools to speed recovery.
