As design architect for a Massachussetts-based commercial and retail developer, RGB provided schematic designs to transform an abandoned brownfield site of a former State-owned hospital into a prosperous high-end mixed use development. The plan called for replacing 54 dilapidated structures on the 420-acre site along the Thames River in Preston, Connecticut with a mix of 1,350 residences in seven New England village-style neighborhoods, two hotels, offices, and retail shops. The project also addressed pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow patterns.
