Expert Witness Services for Rhode Island Attorney General Office

Two Juvenile Intake and Detention Centers experienced significant water infiltration both prior to and shortly after being occupied by the Department of Children, Youth, and Family. RGB was retained to review and reconstruct project documentation record and time lines as well as to determine adequacy of design, of the design team, and of responses during construction phase activities.

RGB conducted forensic investigations in the facilities, both non-invasive and invasive, then supported lawyers from the Rhode Island Attorney General office with the resulting understanding and research for their litigation efforts. RGB developed the Expert Report for litigation through a systematic evaluation of the project design, building and fire codes, reports and documentation, communications, actions, and construction. Our personnel provided expert testimony, both in connection with the Expert Report, and as Rebuttal Expert to other testimony and evidence presented by opposing counsel.

Investigation and Remediation Services

RGB was selected to perform investigation in order to prioritize and to design and administer $2 million in remediation work to the leaking structure.
